Cervest is proud to be a Certified B Corporation
We’re thrilled to announce that Cervest has achieved another milestone on our journey to help enterprises and governments protect their most important assets, including our most valued asset, the planet. Earlier this month, we achieved the distinction of becoming an officially Certified B Corporation.
Certified B Corporations are for-profit companies that use the power of business to build a more inclusive and sustainable economy. Following a rigorous review process by B Lab, the not-for-profit behind the B Corp movement, we can proudly say that Cervest meets the highest verified standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.
“We are pleased to join a like-minded cohort of nearly 4,000 B Corps globally — organizations at the forefront of sustainable business practices,” says Iggy Bassi, Founder and CEO of Cervest. “We are especially proud to be one of the growing number of B2B tech companies to achieve B Corp Certification.”
“We are pleased to join a like-minded cohort of nearly 4,000 B Corps globally — organizations at the forefront of sustainable business practices. We are especially proud to be one of the growing number of B2B tech companies to achieve B Corp Certification.”
The B Corp certification covers five key impact areas: Governance, Workers, Community, Environment and Customers. The rigorous certification process requires evidence of socially and environmentally responsible practices relating to energy supplies, waste and water use, worker compensation, diversity and corporate transparency.
“Being a B Corp shows that Cervest is a leader in a global movement that uses business as a force for good,” says Anna Moses, Cervest’s Head of Operations & People. “As a community, B Corps are focused on reducing inequality and poverty while protecting the environment, fostering stronger communities, and creating high-quality jobs”
The process to achieve B Corp certification uses credible, transparent and independent standards related to social and environmental performance. With ongoing verification every three-years, it also demonstrates our long-term commitment to maintaining these rigorous standards and promoting the B Corp values and goals.
Commenting on Cervest’s B Corp status, Chris Turner, Executive Director of B Lab UK said, “We are delighted to welcome Cervest to the B Corp community. This is a movement of companies who are committed to changing how business operates, who believe business really can be a force for good. We know that Cervest are going to be a fantastic addition to the community and will continue driving the conversation forward.”
Recent attention on the climate tech software industry makes Cervest’s B Corp certification a notable step, and signals a shift towards greater accountability and transparency in our sector.
“Given our leadership position at the intersection between climate and business and our commitment to protect our planet’s assets, we are committed to being a driving force that moves the B Corp ethos forward,” says Iggy.
